arrival to Queen Alia Airport or Jordanian Border our representative
will meet and assist you through the customs and immigration procedures.

– Umm Qais – Jerash – Ajloun – Amman overnight |

In the morning departure we drive around two hours from Amman
to Gadara (Umm Qais), which belonged to the famous decapolis founded
by Alexander the Great in 332 B.C. Here you have an overwhelming
view over the north Jordan valley, the Sea of Galilee and the
Golan heights.
:: In the
noon we depart for Jerash, the best example of a roman provincial
city in the entire Middle East.
:: After
lunch you visit the spectacular forum, roman colonnaded street,
nymphaeum, Artemis temple, St. Cosmos and Demeanors church.
:: Next
stop is Ajloun the great 12th century Islamic castle built around
1184/85 by the famous Islamic leader Salah al-Din.
:: Around
evening we drive back to Amman for overnight.

– Desert Castles (Amra-Kharanah-Azraq-Halabat) – Amman

Today starts our tour to the Desert Castles in eastern Jordan.
The Amra Castle adornes with its zodiac dome and the early examples
of Omayyad fresco paintings, and there are still the fortress-like
mysterious Qasr Kha-ranah, the black basalt Roman/Medieval Islamic
fort at Azraq and the Omayyad residential palace of Qasr Al-Hallabat.
After our lunch break in Azraq we drive back to hotel for overnight.

Amman
– Mt. Nebo – Madaba – King’s Highway –
Kerak – Petra overnight |

After breakfast we depart for Mt. Nebo. This is the place
where Moses gazed at the promised land before he died. You visit
the old monastery and overlook the Jordan valley, Dead Sea, Jericho
and Jerusalem.
:: After
we proceed to Madaba, where the famous mosaic 6th century map
of Palestine in St. George’s church is sited.
:: Following
this, we drive to Kerak along the famous ancient biblical caravan
route the king's way. We have a short stop in Wadi Al-Mujib, a
great wide valley, which sweeps your breath away for it's magnificent
geological formation. Kerak, the ancient, biblical capital of
the Moabites, become well known for the famous crusaders castle
that was built in 1132/34 by king Baldwin the first of Jerusalem.
Visit the castle, enjoy the amazing undergrounds halls and the
museum.

we leave Kerak and drive to Petra for overnight.

After breakfast departure for a full day tour to the red rose
city Petra, the biggest attraction of Jordan. Petra was first
established around the 6th century B.C. by the Nabataean Arabs,
a nomadic tribe who settled in the area and laid the foundations
of a commercial empire that extended into Syria. After the conquest
by the Romans 106 AD Petra declined in importance thereafter.
In the early 19th century the Swiss explorer Johann L. Burckhardt
discovered the city again.
:: Upon
arrival you will begin an unforgettable trip on horse back to
the canyon, the so called Siq, and then by foot to the most beautiful
monument: the Treasury. The local guide will give a brief history
of the city. Among other monuments you will see are Pharaoh's
Castle, the Triumphal Arch, the Amphitheater and the Monastery
„El Deir“.

to hotel for overnight.

Petra
– Wadi Rum – Aqaba overnight |

After breakfast we drive to Wadi Rum, the wild desert landscape,
which already fascinated the British liaison officer Lawrence
of Arabia.
:: You
start a two hour Bedouin Jeep tour which leads you to Lawrence's
Spring and to the sand dunes in Wadi Um Ishrin where you can find
Nabatean inscriptions.
:: You
will have a great view from Lawrence's House and drive to the
Barragh Canyon. Following this, we drive back to Bedouin camp
for lunch. ::
Afterwards you experience the amazing sunset in the desert and
we drive to Aqaba at the Red Sea for overnight.

After breakfast assisted transfer to QAI Airport in Amman for
departure.

Prices are per person based on two adults sharing a twin or double
room and include all flights, accommodation on a bed and breakfast
basis, transfers and transport in Egypt and Jordan, entrance fees
to museums and sites of antiquities and visits as listed in the itinerary
and the services of a tour guide and Egyptologist, but are subject
to small price fluctuations in airport tax and fuel surcharges as
applied by the airlines at the time of booking and differences in
cost of flights from your chosen UK airport. From time to time it
may be necessary to change the order of the itinerary due to flight
times and train timetables, etc. - we do, however, endeavour to keep
any changes to a minimum.
